Global focus on lowering CO2 emissions and the drive for renewable energy systems is continuously increasing demand for the special alloy metal powders produced using PSI designed and manufactured atomising systems, and we now wish to expand our production engineering team.
TECHNICAL SYSTEMS FITTER
We are seeking a Technical Systems Fitter reporting to the Workshop Supervisor who will assist in the manufacturing assembly of the Company's material processing systems.
The successful candidate will be a skilled time served Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 year's experience in installation or maintenance type environments with particular skills in routing of gas, pneumatics, vacuum, water and electrical services. Additional craft skills in TIG welding and general workshop machining practices would be advantageous.
This is a key role and offers the successful candidate the opportunity for continual development of skills, occasional international travel, and stimulating work in one of the key engineering sectors of a growing global market sector.
Job Specification
- Assist in manufacturing and assembly of the Company’s material processing systems.
- Assist with sub-system equipment tests, including configuration and calibration.
- Assist with Overseas and UK system installation visits.
- General maintenance and calibration of in-house process plant.
- Where required, helping other members of staff on a teamwork basis.
- General housekeeping procedures.
- Forklift licence an advantage.

ELECTROMECHANICAL DESIGNER
We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Designer who can clearly demonstrate control system design competency with the ability to work ‘hands-on’ with the production team to ensure that innovative design concepts are converted to production realities – on time and to budget.

Job Specification
- Graduate engineer with a minimum 3 years industrial experience, or a time served qualified technical apprentice whose core design skills encompass the design and implementation of PLC control and instrumental systems.
- Expertise in electrical control systems for high temperature, high pressure applications would be advantageous, as would experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI) design.
- Demonstrable competency in the use of AUTOCAD 2008 (2D) & AUTOCAD Inventor (3D) and / or Solidworks software based applications for the production of electrical circuit and control system schematics.
- An appreciation of metal working practises – welding, machining and manual assembly techniques associated with the type of advanced material processing capital equipment PSI manufacture is highly desirable.
- The ability to maintain and document all Drawing Office materials to stipulated Company Procedures and Standards.
- A proven knowledge and understanding of manufacturing bills of materials at multiple levels is essential, as is the ability to identify BoM cost reduction opportunities without compromising end design or performance quality.
- Must be prepared to mentor and share their knowledge with other team members.
- Ability to work as a key member of the Design Team within a small and growing company, liaising with other departmental teams up to and including director level.
The role is predominantly office based in Hailsham, East Sussex but may involve occasional UK travel and short overseas visits in support of our worldwide customer base.
