Global focus on lowering CO2 emissions and the drive for renewable energy systems is continuously increasing demand for the special alloy metal powders produced using PSI designed and manufactured atomising systems, and we now wish to expand our production engineering team.
ENGINEERING TEST/DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN
PSI produce a range of capital equipment for processing advanced metals and materials. Many of the systems we make are developments from the latest research coming out of universities and large corporations.
We need a technician who can assist in the development and test of these systems and assist in the installation and start-up at the customer's site (most of our customers are overseas).
Job Specification
The successful candidate will
- be qualified in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline
- be "hands-on" in the construction and operation of electro-mechanical systems.
- have relevant experience
- be a self-starting individual happy to work alone and in a team
- be used to foreign travel
The role is predominantly office based in Hailsham, East Sussex but will involve occasional UK travel and short overseas visits in support of our worldwide customer base.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER - TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a Qualified / Part Qualified Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer - Technician to work ‘hands-on’ with the Production / Engineering Department.

Job Specification
- Qualified or part qualified apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer - Technician with some basic experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- Apprenticeship based - Mechanical and Producting Engineering BTEC - Level 1 minimum.
- To become actively involved in the manufacturing, supporting and assembly functions of the company's scientific processing systems.
- Will continue development of multiple skills, through progression and further training in both technical and craft skills.
- Will have a keen interest in developing a career within and Engineering / Scientific / Metallurgy environment.
- The chosen candidate will rapidly progress to become an active, multi-tasked team member, playing a key skill role in the company's progression.
- Minimum GCSEs - Maths, English, Science, Design Technology Grade A-C
- Ability to work as a team member of the Production Team within a small and growing company.
