Our Technology
ATOMISERS
Our anti-satellite atomisation systems have been developed by industry leading experts in the Powder Metallurgy field to provide world class capital equipment, for the production of spherical metal powders. This continual development of technology has provided us with a solid foundation and a unique perspective into the dark art of atomisation.
RAPID SOLIDIFICATION
Our range of rapid solidification technology includes high performance melt spinners to produce amorphous micro-crystalline metallic ribbons under varying atmospheric conditions, wire casters to produce 100µm diameter magnetic wires, and arc melters for the production of metallic glasses, metal alloys and more.
DEPOSITION SYSTEMS
Our deposition coaters and capabilities include EB-PVD and CVD systems. PSI has a wealth of knowledge with the construction of thermal and vacuum systems including those with plasma capabilities. Electron-Beam Physical Vapour Deposition systems have uses in the aerospace industry, including depositing thermal barrier coatings onto jet engines.
FLUIDISED BEDS
Our Fluidised Bed Reactors (FBR) are available in research and devlopment size up to production scale with the additional option for CVD capabilities. Fluidised Bed Reactors can handle various types of materials providing flexibility in production and the ability to apply uniform coatings on metal powders, to produce specific surface properties.
